Neo Zed is maintained by a small group of volunteer contributors. The project does not have a full-time team and does not currently receive funding beyond individual donations.
Upstream credit for the editor itself belongs to Zed Industries and the broader Zed contributor community — Neo Zed would not exist without their work, and the fork tries to send bug fixes and improvements upstream whenever they are a good fit.
